When you join Worthing BSAC you gain access to decades of experience from our valuable BSAC instructors. As it’s Winter there is no diving so we use our time at the Rowing Club for training.
The club held a Basic Life Support evening at the club house which involved cardiac compressions and rescue breathes on the club Annie
There was also valuable training on the new club AED machine and O2 kit. There was 4 instructors and 9 students who attended on the night. Four of the students were doing a refresher course and the other 5 were doing Basic Life Support training from scratch.
After the training there were some scenarios where everyone got involved to some point practicing the skills they had learned during the evenings training. Great fun had by all as well as serious training that could one day save your buddies life. Look out for more training opportunities. Thanks to Russ Turner and Bruce Lampard for their skills and expertise and all those who got involved.
